993 sport seats

In my experience, they looked way better but the standard seats were more comfortable.
I got the deal of the century several years ago, $1,500 for a pair.

The waist size of the target market definitely played a role. Especially since most of the cars were dealer ordered, not owner spec'ed. You don't want a 50 YO with a 38-40 waist trying to get inside a 911 with sport seats. It just ain't gonna happen. He'd be running to the Chevy dealer in a heartbeat.

Another thing to consider is that sport seat rarity also depends on which market the car was sold in. In the US, it seems they were less common. In Canada and the UK, they were far more common, to the extent that I'd guess the non-sport seat was the rarity. Just an observation.
I'll also say $6.5K no problem if in mint condition.

Appreciation ... I drove my car for about 5 years with the standard seats. Now have had the hardbacks for about 3 years. I would not have paid $6500 for them at the time I bought them but would not sell them for $7k today.

^^^ Hahahahaha Totally true and unfortunate.
Regarding my seats, not for sale. Would have to purchase the car to get em.
Just curious on value that's all.
Thx,
Bryan
