Default cobalt blue

Can someone please post a picture of a cobalt blue car. Although colors are quite subjective, - any opinions from those who have viewed this color car will also be appreciated. thanks-

Saw one in the local supermarket parking lot. The owner was, unfortunately, not very conversational but love the color. Although I wouldn't get it for myself (I prefere the primary colors of Red and Yellow), it is definitely striking and unique. I haven't seen any other shade of blue out there like it, on any car. Very rare among Porsches too since I've seen only one 993 with it.

Rezal, thanks for your reply. I am looking at a TT in this color with blue interior. The problem is the car is not close enough where I can view it. I was emailed pictures, but they are dark and do not do the car justice. The color seems to have a purplish tinge to it.

Mike,

Where is the car? Perhaps a local Rennlister could get some more photos for you, that more accurately represent it?

Stedge, Good idea. If I decide to go foward I will certainly appreciate some one looking at the car. Until then I don't want to waste anyone's time.

Yup. It definitely has a purplish tinge. Also depends on the lighting and angle of the sun. Hence, the best way to appreciate Cobalt Blue is to look at it from different angles, and if possible, different lighting conditions. Personally, I think that if you like blue and its various shades, you won't be disappointed. Then again, as you said, color is subjective.

Its a beautifull color, not too much purple like the Zenith Blue for example which can be confused with Cobalt...

Here is a pic of cobalt blue:

I respectively dispute the GT2's color: If the paint had even a slight purple tint it was probably Zenith Blue. Cobalt Blue is similar to bmw's le mans blue but a touch lighter with a little less metallic look to it. But i could be the tint of the picture... ahh what the hell

For lots of photos of Porsche colors check out Yoseif's Boxster Gallery. He's the man for looking at colors. Cars are arranged by colors. Lots of Cobalt here. Cars are mostly Boxsters and 996s. Best place on web to look at Porsche colors, ask any PPBB guy. http://www.whiteson.org/boxster/gallery/

Wow, never seen a 993 in cobalt, I think it would look awesome in that colour! However, with blue interior....

Thanks for the pictures. It really looks good. The pictures the dealer sent me are not very good The color seems darker, more purple. If it's the same color as that Gt2 I would be happy. I do have some second thoughts about blue interior however. thanks to all. If I get more serious I will try to find a rennlister to take a look at the car. Mike W

Default cobalt blue pictures

OK - here is a page with pictures of my previous 964 which had a cobalt blue interior and top.

Hope this helps....

Great Color! I would describe it as blue with a tint of purple in it.

Cheers,
Boris
