Default So I went ahead and had it done...

Just packed up my car, after having the hydraulic lifters and the clutch replaced. The engine hums like new. No more of that old VW clatter.

Next up: C2S split grill. Ordered from Gert, will have it painted and installed next week...

IMO, possible the coolest visual mod out there. When I eventually land my 993, that will be my first non-suspension mod, for sure.

Very nice! Odd to hear that after doing lifters, some still report clicking and clacking while some have none. Did you do uppers and lowers?

didnt realized that your from the Alps ...

But that limits exterior 'upgrades' drastically ... if not makes it impossible ...

Friend of mine did a dansk muffler under his beautiful 3.2 convertible, ONE day later he got caught by police with noise and emission test and compliance check;
he got away with only a very hefty fine coz he had otherwise white papers with the boys. As he explained, he was very lucky, coz with this little measure you could be listed as convicted criminal in your little country. Normally they also confiscate the illicit device.
But good for me, they didn't; I got a very nice and affordable new dansk muffler...

It took me close to 6 months to get my BBS wheels accepted. Had to have an entry for it in the vehicle registration card...

Wow! I guess they do that to help us in CA, not feel like were getting as reamed (as we are) by our GOV
Sorry to hear that modifications are so strickly monitored and restricted.
I wish they were that tough here on public assistance.

Amen brother. I sometimes wonder how I ended up in what must be the least car friendly state in the country.
