Time for me to move these out to fellow rennlisters.
I have 9 extra sets of door pocket reinforcement pieces. Each set will repair 2 door pockets. You may need to do some shaping. See my previous posts to this thread for how to install these.
Not sure what the response will be so here are my requirements.
Reply to this thread if you are interested. Then follow up with a PM to me with your name and postal address.
I will mail these out within the continental US for free. If you are outside the US or off-continent and are interested, I may ask you to cover postal/shipping fees.

A gentleman indeed.
And don't forget to share pics of the results.

Our C2S had the same problem but, after looking at the OP's solution, I found that our's have a different profile with respect to the offset and 1-7/8 inches deep. I cut two pieces of aluminum, bent the offset, drilled the hole and contact cemented them in place. Cut some some pieces of black leatherette, contact cemented them over the AL and used an awl to pierce the hole through the leatherette. Really helps having a rigid connection there. Nice little project.

That's pretty cool guys, and Hans, with that photo, I realized the door pocket lining gets a similar or possibly the same pad as the console! Sweet! I am missing all 3.

Yep! What I did in 2005, on my 85 and 87 M491 911s; only I used black satin paint on the alum, and two part epoxy and alum rivets, instead of contact cement.
