Just replaced the velvet seals on my sunroof and I'm not sure how the parts go back together. When I took the roof out some clips popped and I didn't see how it was assembled.

I think the small round pin on the slider needs to go inside the flat metal clip on the inside of the roof. Is that right?

 

Figured it out. It's simple, as usual.

The spring clips pivot inwards. Both the pin and the drive mount go inside the spring.Oh and the loose half of the rear clip goes on the bottom, not on the top as I have it in the picture. Better than the slots for the tiny screws to hold onto.

The DIY's on this are right on.

The adhesive is a right royal PITA, both removing the old and putting on the new. I did the rear velvet all in one - mistake, tape the whole thing in place and do a bit at a time - just like the threads say.

The 3M adhesive remover is no longer available, theres an environmentally friendly alternative with CO2 propellant that's half as fast. The whole thing took me 6 hours and it went very smooth. I didn't even clean anything along the way
