Sorry a bit late Robert993TT picking up on this.
The 3M Photo Mount does not penetrate the paper and cause any staining or yellowing after a period of time.
The downside to spray adhesives is the overspray that can leave stringy bits hanging off the edges. These were easy to remove with the 3M Mount spray but I can imagine that any adhesive that had more grip could be a problem. I did not experiment to see how it is affected by heat because I found a suitable self adhesive paper that stuck very well.
The UHU POR adhesive is a contact adhesive that will tolerate -30 - +70 C and also does not cause any staining or yellowing of paper. Working quickly spread it thinly over the sticker and fix it in place before it starts to dry. No need to apply it to both surfaces. Any excess at the edge can be rubbed away. The sticker will flatten when dry. It's a permanent fix.
I can’t remember if I managed to remove a sample sticker without destroying it when I tried the 3M product. What happens to the adhesive in a few years time could be quite different anyway.
Good luck.

Thats all right. It´s an old thread. Thank you for your long reply!
I sent an email a few days ago to 3M and got an answer two days later from someone representing the company.
I mentioned the 3M Photo Mount and got another suggestion instead;
3M scotch-weld 90 which I believe is a spray glue also and a double-sided bond 3M 467MP.
I´m sticking to the spray glue option for the moment. I don´t know what the different would be between the Photo Mount and the other one. I could not find a technical information sheet other than the one for the scotch-weld 90 which was -32 to +80 C. Thats more or less the same that you mentioned. Does it apply for the Photo Mount?
Another thing that you mentioned is how it affect the paper. It was one of the reason I started to wonder about the 3M Photo Mount in the first place.

The only reference to temperature with the mount spray was “Allow bond to set for 24hours before exposing to different temperature and humidity conditions.”
They are probably not expecting the average photographer to fry or freeze their prints.
Some key advice they give “Always test before use on new applications”.

Good advices. I´m on the same page. Hopefully I will find a solution that works out. I think it´s hard to cover all aspects. If it´s possible to save the sticker again in the future it would be good. If not then I have to accept the loss and take it from there at that point.

I’ve been getting enquires about making replica stickers and I want to let people know that I'm not making them anymore. Life and printer failure got in the way. It was always a labour of love and not a business.
My stickers are on some very interesting cars out there and have been appreciated by some seriously knowledgeable people. It was always a pleasure making them.
If circumstances change and I start making them again, I will update this thread.

FYI, CarBone makes them. https://www.carbone.pl/en/products/u...3-1989-1997-72
Only posting this as Luftd993 no longer makes them and just showing another option.
