Either HID or non-HID. Not sure of the bulb type either. The opening in the Turbo S brake cooling ducts is circular and about 2 1/8 - 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
I just want to match the color of the factory litronics and get a decent projection beam for night driving.

Tech, if you can find out what the bulb type is, I can find a suitable replacement.
I am 99% sure you are talking of the 200 series dome light bulbs. Brent Spinks placed an order for these in white and was quite happy with them... Brent, are you there?

Eric,
Sorry to hear about the dilemma, thanks for letting us all know. This kind of stuff really pi$$e$ me off. I have signed the petition via your link and hopefully with the Rennlist family we can get a lot of signatures and force these folks to re-assess their method of evaluation which seems a little screwed up.
I have been very happy with my HID kit (CATZ quality is excellent) and the safety benefits from being able to see better at night. It has made a significant improvement!
I assume that replacement parts/bulbs will still be available in the future, but I hope liteswap remains and your able to keep the business going.
Good luck and if there is anything I can do let me know.

THanks for the compliment and support. At this time, I am told Catz is honoring warranties.
As far as replacements go, as long as the government doesnt do something funky, the sale of replacement parts SHOULD be ok.
As soon as I get more information, I will post.

Stupid DOT Bureaucrats - To serve who??
I have had 5 911's. Four had H1/H1 or H4 quartz iodine (halogen) setups when they were considered "illegal". Well, my 993 came with a factory stock H1/H1 setup. It seems that 20 years later, the DOT (finally) pulled it's head out of whereever it was on halogens... Now, this. Well, they can kiss my rebel ***. I am going to run them in all locations - The H1/H1 and the H3 "driving lights. Catch me if you can.
DOT: Go after the fake HID's, BS kelvin ratings, or the crap installations. Leave quality retrofit HID's alone!

Been away from the forum and missed the request. I merely replaced the bulbs with LED bulbs from Eric. They do match the HIDs "better" but they are not perfect. They don't put out much illumination, but then neither did the stock bulbs. However, I am much happier with the LEDs than with the stock "dirty" yellow bulbs, and the swap out was way cheaper than an entire projector replacement.
