Trouble finding WB tires
Be nice if they offered some % discount under listed prices. It shouldn't just be those bastards at FD Motorsports that treat us all so well here now, should it?
edit;email sent to Damon
just a thought, since I haven't actually placed the order yet...considering that the Tirerack is a site sponsor and all, should we contact Damon about some kind of rennlist disclount/price match? Granted, I've never asked that before, and probably bought at least 1/2 the sets from him for the car.

Sorry, not sure. They are Kinesis wheels and aren't marked with ET.
I can send you backspace info if you like.
just priced the hankook's tonite, nothing else in their price range that I would consider really. While I certainly agree that the Michelin's are a better tire all round...simply ain't worth the price tag IMHO. Same with other choices, Yoko's , etc
Leaning heavily toward 235/40 front, same 295/30 rear.

.
please consider the 245-35 / 295 - 30 combo in V12s
They are a good diameter fit for AWD
AND
improve front grip.
if we weren't diametrically opposed geographically, I'd offer you a new set.
enjoy!
FYI -
On my wide body, I have the Bilstein HD/H&R coil over set up which results in a VERY low (approx RS) ride height. I just mounted up a set of Nitto NT01s size 305 on the rear using STOCK Turbo twist wheels and they BARELY fit. I had to roll the fenders so they would not rub. A higher ride height vehicle may allow the 305s to fit without rolling the fenders.
JZ98-993 makes an impoiortnat point that different manufacturers DO have slightly diff dimensions to the shoulder of the tire that can make a big difference when operating at the limits of how wide a tire you can stuff in that wheel well.

The 235(8" tread width) is about 3/10" wider than the 225(7.7" tread width)...about 7.6mm total, so an additional 3.8mm in and out.
The 245 is 8.4" wide, so 7/10" wider...about 17mm total...8.5mm in and out.
So xtra rim width of 6mm, + 3.8mm for the 235= almost 10mm total increased poke toward fender.
xtra rim width of 6mm, +8.5mm for 245=almost 15mm of poke.
$25 credit ends tonite on Discount tire, maybe I'll head out to the shed and double up the spacers up front(2x5=10)and see what that looks like
edit;check that math Einstein...I'd need 15mm spacers to replicate where the 235 would stretch, and 20mm ones to duplicate the 245...ain't got enough wheel stud to do either really, and put the weight of the car on it.
Did 10mm of spacers up front, and dropped it back on the floor...plenty of room, although the suspension didn't fully settle-been up on the lift for almost 2 weeks now. So 235 yes, 245...ain't gonna chance it I don't think
