Default Interior Protectant?

Need opinions on what is a good leather protectant for the 993. I have the full leather option.

Also any comments on 303 Aerospace protectant? TIA

I just ordered the Zaino leather care stuff last time I placed an order. Seems to work fine, and smells just like a new shoe.

I've been using 303 for a few years, and have been very happy with it.

It's definitely not for leather, though - plastics/vinyl/etc.

Also a big fan of 'Black Again' for faded black plastic trim. Like the grill insert on the rear spoiler, around windows, etc.

The Lexol products are good. I've used them with good results. The other product I would recommend is Connoly Hide Food. In the summer months, be sure to keep this stuff refrigerated.

Well, FWIW, I bought a couple of new buffalo hide ball gloves made by Nocona. They included a tube of petroleum jelly and a little story about how they have always used petroleum jelly (100+ years) and how they found a cache of about 100 gloves 50 years old and half of them were their own and half were not. The 50 Noconas were in perfect condition. Good enough for me. I just make sure the leather is clean and then goop that stuff on. Talk about bonding with your car..

I've always used Lexol.

What's the story behind Armor All? I think that's probably the more popular brand. They now even sell "wipes." Lexol has always been a little behind in product innovation. It took them awhile to come up with the spray bottle (either that, or I didn't know about the spray bottle format).

303 is a great vinyl/rubber dressing with some of the highest UV inhibitors in the industry. It also offers a satin, factory-look sheen.
......................
The bad rap with Armour All, as mith many "shiny" protectants is that they carry silicones. Now, silicones in and of themselves are not dangerous to rubber or vinyl but the vast majority of these protectants also carry cleaners. These cleaners use petroleum based solvents which leech into the surface, dry out eventually and can cause the material to crack. This, obviously is very bad.

If you choose any product with silicones be very careful that it does not list cleaning as a selling point. If your not sure don't use it. The new low sheen Armour All in the grey bottle, BTW, has no silicones in it so they say.

................
I like Lexol and Connoly's. Have used them both extensively. However, I like Zaino the best of all of these for it's ease of use. Unlike the other two it does not require extended "scrubbing" with moist sponges and does not have to be "buffed" or dried afterwards. It's very quick. I also like the smell the best.

Brad,

Where can we get Zaino? Do you have to order this product, or does Performance Products & Pelican carry them? Thanks.

Rich in Torrance,
you can actually purchase Zaino Bros directly from a distributor in Los Angeles. He works out of his residence. He is located very near the 10 and 405 freeway intersection. here is his website with some info. His name is Ira. He will give you some good advice, and has the BEST towels too!! max

I have found the leather cleaner and conditioner sold by Porsche to be very high quality, albeit expensive. It's the only products I'll use on my C4S. Sunset Porsche in OR sells for cost plus 15%. Best deal around as far as I know. IMO most of the mass market products such as lexol are weak. I would not use anything on the interior that might damage it long term. It is must too expensive to replace.
