964 and 993 wheels interchangable?

If you mean OE wheels, the short answer is 'no'; but as usual in life, it depends.
The 17" Cup or commonly-called Cup1 wheel (which might have been fitted to the 964) was made in the same widths and offsets that was used for the 'Cup Design 93' or commonly-called Cup2 wheel which tended to be fitted to the 993 if the owner specified an upgrade from the 16" standard 993 wheel.
However the 16" Design 90 wheel which was a 964 wheel came in 6J front (common) and 7J front (rarer), and 8J rear (common) and 9J rear (rarer), whereas the 16" standard 993 wheel was 7J front and 9J rear, with a (rare) 8J rim for fitting narrower rears for winter.
So (without listing them all) the offsets on like-for-like OE wheels are the 'same' for 964/993, but they should all be stamped in the back anyway.
