Last bath before the winter projects commence
First pre-wash wih foam using Bilt hamper foam and pressure washer with foam lance. Let it sit for 5mins, rinse and 95% of the dirt is gone:
Then a thorough wash with bilt hamper shampoo and a proper wash mit:
Then rinse with pressure washer and drying with microfiber towels:
Shine is good because there is 3 layers of autofinesse wax (limited production run):

Very nice indeed. I don't use expensive detailing products, but can certainly vouch for a foam pre-wash. My shadetree technique is 3 or 4 ounces of soap in a garden sprayer, about 1/2 full.
You get nice sudsy coverage, and to your point, you can visually see most of the dirt suspended and rinsed off before even touching (and scratching) the paint.
Sweet ride.
Cheers

Looking good Juha
Oh man, and I thought I was the ONLY one using the $10 shadetree garden sprayer
They do work pretty good though. Mine can dial the top to make it very sudsy or barely sudsy or just rinse. Good on the rims too. It helps to hit them with a continuous stream of sudsy water while wiping.
I do like Juha's suds and wait. That does seem to help a lot

Do you remove the seal every time you wash to do this?
I've owned my car since 1998 and just learned that the seal traps water. So, no. Moving forward, yes, unless I seal the gap with silicone or (more likely, since I have the part) the foam rubber cord 996 541 903 00 as specified in TSB 6420.
