Default Intercity

Have used them 3 time from NE to MI and CA. Excellent and if they are good enough fro Ralph Lauren and Wayne Carini from F40 then they were good enough for me. Driver took great care for my kids Acura just as they would have for an exotic sports car!

Do you think we all get the same quality drivers that Innercity uses for Ralph Lauren and Wayne Carini?
All I am saying is I used them twice and wsa disappointed 50% of the time.

Do I understand your complaint correctly, that everything was perfect except that the driver didn't feel comfortable driving his enormous transporter down your street and thus asked you to come pick up your car a very, very short distance from your front door?

You should have read my first post. He called from 3 miles away to pick up my car, or he was going to leave and have to come back at a time of his chosing. It was raining, the car was being returned from a complete rotisery restoration a CPR in fall brook Ca.

Its a show car, and I PRE-paid for door to door delivery. And as i said in my first post, they (innercity) l as well as other carriers have been here before. So unless you live in the bad lands of Montana where 3 miles is a "short distance" to your front door then Yea, you got my complaint correct.

Six Gun, I'm wondering what is the weight limit of your residential street? 10 Tons? Can they legally bring a semi into the neighborhood? I'm just saying, the last mile may be an issue for the trucking company?

I've seen big moving semis in my neighborhood and assumed there would be no issue when I had a car delivered, however the delivery driver said there was a 10ton limit. He was right! I never noticed the signs before. We unloaded quickly to get him out of there, but I don't know if the cities can fine the driver for this or not.

Any professional drivers on RL comment? Can they get a waiver? Or is it allowed?

Default Intercity

I saw my driver on "Chasing Classic Cars" with Carini delivering a high end Cobra to the West Coast. Guess I got lucky!

I live on a country road, if there is a weight limit, it is not enforced as it it used by 18 wheelers on ocassion.

The real issue was he drove past my house which is marked on my mail box as well as my house. I was outside and saw him go by. He did not want to have to go through the hassel of turning his rig around, so he took the easy way out. As I said It as the fourth car I have had delivered and the second by Innercity.

As you may or may not know, Mass is their home base, and this diver was from Me. He was in a hurry to get home and it cost him a $100.00 Tip.
The whole point of this rant is the experience is driver dependent, not Company dependent.

Lesson learned, If you don't see the car loaded in front of you onto the truck or trailer that will be hauling it stop right there and move on.

I used a now defunct transport company (demoise) to move my 911 from San Diego to South Carolina. Everything was perfect. Cars arrived clean and excellent. Too bad they shut down. I ended up just driving back to west coast instead of transport and it was FUN! I guess not an option for a low mile collector car, but life experience for everyone else. Car didnt suffer any damage from rockchips or anything. Of course, choose your route carefully - quality of roads, weather etc. Stinks that you had troubles...

That sux,

We used Reliable for the 993 Cab because of a suggestion from my uncle who collects Roll Royces. Very happy. If I did not know who to use I would call Carini's F40 Motorsports and ask who they would suggest.

I used to use Intercity quite a bit but then something changed there about 3-5 years ago. Lead time were longer, delivery times were longer etc. I then realized that my point of contact had left the company tot go work for another company. I have now used them multiple times and they work well. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Did you actually pay them to transport your munchkin or is this a paid advertisement?
