what a FLAT day........ pics
Some how when I was driving yesterday, I hit a razor blade right on my back tire. It went strait into the tire... some luck.
I bought the back two tires about 3 months ago which was not good so new. They were pilot super sports too....
I had the hazard warranty which helped a little. So it took the $260 price tag of the tire new down too $90. Which isn't bad, just a waste of a tire.
I also like to mention that the 16 year old spare at 0 psi won't let you drive the car past 12mph, or the abs lights would come on and the car would stall.
Once I drove 4 miles to get the psi of the spare to 35psi at my house, the spare worked great!!!

Your supposed to inflate the spare with the compressor that comes with the car. If you don't have one you should try and find a used one to keep in your car.

As someone who drove on a flat tire for a couple of miles, it will look ok from the outside. I thought: looks good, plug it, inflate it, go. Then the tire guy pulled it off the rim....the inside had been shredded by the rim contact. Please take the spare to a tire shop for full inspection, and I'd guess retirement. Its not safe to just leave it as is, since the next user might be the next owner who'll air it up and drive 55mph on it... Just not safe.

And I think I remember reading the manual and it said that when you have a rear go flat, you should put one of the good fronts on the rear and put the spare up front. It's because of all the weight in the back of our cars.

The is a saying around tire folks. "Front one sets it up and rear one picks it up" thats how nails and even that blade get picked up by the rear; the front tire kicked it up at the right angle then you parked it and it went flat.

This is kind of a confusing thread....
I think we all understand that the spare is suppose to be inflated before use...but OP didn't have pump, couldn't inflate it, so had to drive it uninflated...which caused an ABS light when mph exceeded 12mph.....is that correct?
Also, someone is saying that the spare tire should have been put on the front of the car...and the good tire from the front, should have been moved to the rear in replacement of the flat tire...right?
I did understand the part about the hookers and the blow......
