Genuine Mint Speedline RS Wheels fair trade for 993 Hard Back Sport Seats?

I have a set of like new genuine Speedline RS wheels still in original box. 993.362.1 PN.

Considering trading them for a set of 993 hard back sport seats.

Would that be a comparable trade?

Anyone interested in such a trade? If so, please PM me.

What do Speedline wheels go for again? $3-4k? If so, seems like a reasonable trade.

Usually it's just the gougers like LAPD selling seats for $5k+; you don't see them move private party too often ...so it's also nice to even have a line on them, regardless of whether you agree to a reasonable price or swap for the wheels (which, again, seems like a reasonable swap to me).

I was told by a few people that heated hardbacks are worth about $1,000 more than non-heated hardbacks. So, if correct, IMHO, I would think non-heated hardbacks and a primo set of Speedlines would be about $4,000 each.

wheels are worth more than seats IMO.
how much more?
Depends on seat's condition, configuration and color.
Lots more seats than those wheels.

I would argue that some folks change their wheels so often that no one ever keeps one set of wheels on their car forever. Many have multiple sets of wheels. OTOH, once those painted hardbacks are installed, they're there forever. :biggulp:

I agree 100%. RS Wheels are NLA as far as I remember...

JMHO it will likely be easier to find individuals willing to buy your set of new Speedlines at market price ,then find the seats that fit your needs with the proceeds...
You should even have cash left over for a few other upgrades...Bert

Aren't the 993 hardback sport seats NLA?

I'm not an economist, but a quick suggestion -- trade your wheels for cash, then trade the cash for seats. The money economy is efficient like that. Is there a guy in the CONUS who not only has the very rare sport seats you want, but is willing to give them up for the exact set of rims you're trying to barter? Doubtful. This is why the world switched from the barter economy to the money economy 5,000 years ago.

Even better: sell your wheels, buy a set of Recaro CS Sportsters, paint the backs, install, pocket the remaining $2K. Keep your stockers and you can always reinstall if you ever sell, or sell the car with the Recaros.

Probably...but there always seems to be a set of random hardbacks available on ebay or pelican or here.... Original, brand new in box, RS wheels, not so much.

"forever?", not for everyone.

regarding wheels, yup, that's me, 4 sets of wheels, constantly changing them
but
also have 3 sets of seats and change them also, although not as often.

NP993 has a most excellent suggestion.

For the record, I believe the OP's Speedline wheels were briefly used, but are back in their original boxes and are advertised as mint condition.

I haven't quite figured out my future wheel choice(s), but Speedlines would be on the short list.

Wow. :biggulp:

IMHO, the hardbacks would have to be absolutely MINT to command as much as the Speedlines.

I agree with Noah (NP993), sell the wheels then go seat shopping. Though you never know, the right person may see this, never hurts to ask! Good luck with the hunt!
