Default Door cup handle protection. 993

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where to get something like this for a 993?

Why not put a piece of clear plastic (like they use for stone guards and wrapping) film there?
Would look hell of a lot better than that.

It is pretty scratched, I would have to paint the door

Or don't wear your Superbowl Ring when you drive the 993

Joking asides, how about Finn's Idea, but try and find the old, colored, stoneguard material rather than the clear?

^+1. scratches or not, i'd go with a clear plastic guard. the reflection on the plastic will likely cover most of the 'seen' scratches anyway. far better solution than that floor mat.

That area is pretty curved, film might be tough to get to lay flat. Might take a little heat and some massaging.

I think Performance Products use to sell a plastic insert that fit in there. Not sure if they fit the 993, I had them on my SC.

The typical 3M protective film kit usually includes a couple of form fitting door cup pieces. Clear and unobtrusive!

I had the local window film place put a set on mine. Although they were made from the clear UV material they used on my windshield, I guess you could have them made out of some tinted material to cover the scratches.

I like the scratches! It proves that someone drives the car and enjoys it!
