What towing eye's do you use?
He guys,
I've just had my US spec bumperettes removed and the holes filled in. So I was wondering what towing eyes you prefer particularly for the rear, off the engine (not in the factory eye hole).
I like the look of this Tarrot one http://www.tarett.com/items/911-prod...310-detail.htm
While we are at it what do you sue for the front? Just the factory one or??

Other option is the RSR style rear tow hook which attaches to the engine case. Rothsport makes a version of it, and Autometrics used to.
RSR front tow hook attaches to the front trunk pan which isn't as strong a mounting point as stock (bumpers -> mounts -> frame rails), but that can be reinforced with broader backing plates. Fabspeed makes a replica.

I do the same as Bill (and try to avoid needing a tow in the first place...)
The rear hook opening is behind the plate which you don't want to be fiddling with if and when you ever need it.
So I carefully measured and drilled my license plate accordingly. I added a rubber grommet (if that's the word) to finish off the hole surround - looks great and properly finished. The stock hook is ready for insertion if ever needed.
Cheers

Thanks guys. I'm not planning any trips into the kitty litter However I also want to be responsible in the event of something unfortunate happening and having no towing eye at the rear wouldn't be good form. I didn't realize though that there is a towing hole behind the license plate? I though it was to the right of the plate? If that's the case then I'll be fine.
Cheers guys.
