I'm sorry guys, I don't see how this car is good value. By the time you're done fixing the cosmetic stuff you'll be well over $4,000 out of pocket. Add a couple of mechanical issues, some maintenance items (those Nexen tires have to go!) and you are pushing $30K. How many people would pay $30K for a 140K+ mile C4 in good shape?
For $18K I'd buy it. For $23K I'd pass.
I'm inclined to agree with this. Assuming the buyer doesn't intend to do any of the labor himself, it would take some mental gymnastics to imagine this car standing anybody less than ~$30k. There are better buys to be had for $30k.
Somebody had fun with this thing. 6k miles in 3 months (from 5-8/99), another 6k 2 months later (from 8-10/99), then almost 7k in the following 3 months (10/99 - 1/00). That's 19k miles in 7 months. Crazy!
