Rolling onto Pebble Beach early in the morning:

1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Tourer Figoni

To continue the success of the 6C 1500 Super Sport and 6C 1750 Grand Sport, Alfa Romeo had Vittorio Jano design an eight-cylinder engine with the same features as the 6C models.
This 2336 cc engine was mounted on both the short and long wheel-base chassis, including Alfa'a P3 Grand Prix car, to dominate an array of motor sport events. More on Alfa's 8C 2300.

1951 Ferrari 212 Inter Coupé Vignale

Alongside his successful competition cars, Enzo Ferrari sold detuned race cars for road-going clientele and the 212 Inter was a classic example. It replaced the very similar type 166 Inter, and its racecar brother, the 212 Export, wasn't that far ahead. When there was a short supply of Ferraris, the road-going Inters served double-time and became race cars. One such outing included the 1950 Carrera Panamericana were two Inters placed 1-2 and put Ferrari on the map with Americans. More on Ferrari's 212 Inter.

1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Park Ward Drophead Coupé

The R-Type was the epitome of British luxury in the 1950s and the first car to carry the Continental nameplate. Despite having a uniform style, each car was unique in detail.
Unlike almost every car of the period, the Continental had an all-aluminum body. More on Bentley's R-Type Continental.

1950 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster

With its French curves, 120 mph performance and a price tag of £988, the XK120 was Jaguar's most important roadster. In 1948 it set a new standard of post-war performance which progressed into a comprehensive motor sports campaign and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans five times in seven years. Before it was allowed to race, Sir William Lyons personally tested an XK120 at Silverstone himself. He called it the 'Super Sports Two Seater', but after reaching 120 mph in Belgium, it was simply known as the XK120. More on Jaguar's Roadster.

1940 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Graber Cabriolet

Produced from 1939 and after the war until 1951, the 6C 2500 was the last of the famous six cylinder cars first started with the 1928 6C 1500. For this reason, the later 6C 2500s, and especially the elegant Villa d'Este model were considered the end of an era for Alfa, and some call them the last of the great Alfas. 1953 Ferrari 250 MM Berlinetta Pinin Farina

The 250 MM was first displayed at the Paris Auto Show and was intended purely as a competition machine.
It was a slightly updated version of the sole Ferrari 250 Sport which ran to victory at the 1952 Mille Miglia. More on Ferrari's 250 MM.

Pebble Beach's Concours d'Elegance is arguably the last event of Monterey's car week.

1 of the 1st is the Carmel Concours on Tuesday Aug 13th. I posted my pics here on page 1 of this thread ... 2 months ago, on Aug 14.
I thought I'd find the time to finish posting Pebble pics before now. Having said that, I feel better that a respected auto enthusiast website just posted their Carmel coverage 3 days ago!

Check out superCars.net's brand new "2013 Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue" gallery for lots of details on cars you've seen pictured earlier on this thread, plus more exotics: 130 pics from 1 event

This year the show brought out some of the very best cars including a freshly rebuilt GT40 MKIV brought out by collector Tom Shaughnessy.

The event was won outright by the 1953 Ferrari 375 MM 0362AM which was fresh from a new restoration and one of the 375s with no passenger side door.

Also on show was a fabulous Verde Medio 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB, a 1956 Ferrari 410 Superamerica Series II Coupé with a custom body by Scaglietti and a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L88 Coupe with only 12,000 original miles.

All these great cars and more can be found in our feature gallery of the concours.

1967 Ferrari 275 GTS/4 ‘NART Spyder’

Only ten Ferrari 275s officially came from the Ferrari factory in spyder configuration.

1953 Aston Martin DB2/4 Bertone Spyder

A year after the introduction of the DB2/4, Stanley Harold Arnolt ordered several bare chassis for Bertone bodywork.
Among a few different designs, he had three of these Spyders made. More on Aston's Spyder.
