Question Question for guys with TechArt fog / brake ducts

I just got a set of the TechArt fog/brake ducts from Gert. What kind of bulb holder is used on the parking/positioning light? This is the small one that fits in the corner of the fog light.

I ask because looking at the back of the fog light where the hole for the parking light is looks to take some sort of push in holder. It also seems as it needs to be a tight fit as to not allow moisture inside of the fog light.

Does anyone have any pictures of this thing available?

Thanks,
Albert

Is there no one who has replaced their bulbs and has an answer to my question?

I replaced my fogs with HID projectors. The OEM bulbs are a H3 fog and a BA9s positioning light.
You can replace with LED bulbs if you like ... Hope this helps

Thanks Ted.

What I really need to know is what type of positioning light holder fits into the TechArt fogs which is different from the stock fog light assemblies.

hit "macca", he has one of the most stunning 993's on RL and i believe he has this kit and swapped out the fogs for LED's.

The same LED parking light bulb holder that fit in the OEM fog works in the TechArt. I made no changes nor modifications.

Thanks Russ. That's what I needed to know.

Unfortunately I sold both of my bulb holders with the stock fog lights. Anyone have a part number for the parking bulb holder?

You might have problem getting just the holder by itself. Another route is you can always find the VW version (China made) foglight on ebay.
I still see them on sale at fleabay time to time...

I don't think the VW version (China made) has the parking light he's referring to. It's the the small light on the bottom left:

Not to bump an old thread but I noticed one of my fog lights went out. The previous owner installed the techart fogs. What is the best way to replace the bulb? Is bumper removal required? thanks

One screw. No bumper removal required.

Take off the bumperette and then you will see where you can unscrew the duct.

I suspect an aftermarket bulb socket with pigtail is available from an import auto parts store that specializes in German car parts. Also, a third party supplier like Dorman may have a socket that can be modified to fit. A little research should result in a workable solution. Or buy a used tail light wiring harness from a salvage yard and cut off what you need.
