Default Headlilght gap

It may seems stupid, but there is a gap between my head light and the body. Don't worry, I've read the DIYs on how to remove/install the headlight. Is there something I'm missing? Do you have any tips?

The seal seems OK. I'm able to push the seal into the hole but not the headlight. I checked the cables in the back to make sure there's nothing in the way. Even if I push hard on the headlight, it doesn't work...

Thanks for your help!

This is definitely not normal. Was it always like this? I would double check that the male / female switch is fully engaged

Maybe you got the left and right head lights switched? or it's not in straight.

As it stands that gap is not normal, I would remove it realign install properly and latch it securely.

Reinserting the light and getting the mechanism to 'pull' the headlight down and back was the most difficult part for mine. Examine how the latch handle moves the lock mechanism with the light out and it becomes easier.

Thanks for the help but there's still a gap. I took it out an in alomost 50 times. I even took out the cap behind the headlight and the HID module to be sure there was nothing in the way.

I just realised the rubber part # on my seal is 993 631 162 00. And as far as I know, the part I should have is 993 631 907 00. Hopefully that would resolve the problem but I'm not too confident...

The other headlight seal # is 993 631 161 and doesn't fit on the right side...

Has the headlight set like this since you bought the car or did you remove it and now cannot get it to set correctly in there?

Does the headlight turn on?

The headlight is like this since I bought the car a couple months ago. And the lights can turn on. I don't know, it's a weird issue...

If the light comes on, the housing must be engaged. Is it possible the lens is not secured to the housing properly?

"I even took out the cap behind the headlight and the HID module to be sure there was nothing in the way".

Show us a pic of the interior of the light can inside the fender.

If the housing is on the correct side, I highly suspect the lens has not latched properly onto the housing. Make sure all the latches clicked in place.
