Today's Top Gear has a brief track test done by James May.
Get the torrent at www.finalgear.com, or wait for next Monday's (8-5) BBC America broadcast.

Thanks for the tip, Ken
Can anyone confirm what James says at 7:10 about the rev counter going up to 11 as a tribute to Spinal Tap? Interesting.
For those who don't want to download the torrent or wait for the US broadcast next week, here's the streaming video:http://www.streetfire.net/video/top-gear-season-20-episode-5-20x05_2433024.htm

Anyway, other things to look for re: track testing in this episode are that carbon fiber Lambo, and how you CAN haul *** while towing.

Thanks for the video link clout.
Race911,,,, if I was in your tax bracket. . . . put me down for a fully optioned Singer 911 in its signature color scheme.
Take notice of the detail surrounding the CDR220 radio/CD unit. Looks old sckool as no customization effort was spared; In various other Singer 911 video's its shown how the CDR220 is customized.
Great car.

Thanks for the link... OT, sort of... Are the retro cars such as a Singer based on an older 911 Chassis or I've heard that many are on a 964 Chassis and then fitted w/ panels resembling the older 70-60's based cars?
I suppose I am a fan boy as well and like many today I'm interested in doing a build similar which is why I ask.

But mechanically, just get a 964 and throw down another ~$100K to get the mechanicals and decent cosmetics done.

I really dig the latest one. The color combo is awesome. The only thing I'm not sold on is the red brakes. I would have gone with a complementary color to the exterior or the interior. Also, what are those boxes in the front of the frunk?
