I've got Bilstien HD and M030 Springs on my car. You are welcome to drive it to compare the feel with your stock suspension. I can tell you when I did it, it transformed the car. I was running original shocks with 120K on them...Shoot me a PM and we can meet for a drive. I get my car back from the body shop tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm in South Tampa.
ViperBob did my install at what is now VSR Motorsports. Also, what dealer are you going to? Jeff Holcombe is the service manager at Reeves. They have a program called the 6/50 Club for cars more than 6 years old. Labor is around $90 and hour I think. If you want to go with the dealer option, that's the way to go. Talk to Jeff directly. He's a great guy. he really wants the business from guys in the older stuff (us.)
I had Koni Fsd's installed at Viper bobs shop a couple of months ago,
$400 to install the shocks, and $200 for alignment. I like the shocks and the ride height is perfect with the m033 springs.
Thanks for all the great advise! I will talk to one of the local mechanics on monday that I got recommended on here! And I love the car, I don't want to sell it. I have the money, i'm just making sure i dont over pay or under pay for something.
I think my best option from all your advise is getting the Koni FSD set of 4 for the 1000 dollars online. That seems the best option for me. As long as the installation is not more then another 1000 I think i'll be good.
For perspective purposes; I had coilovers, along with f & r swaybars installed, aligned, and corner balanced for $600 by a very reputable independent. Your cost should be less by about $200.
Just keep trolling on rennlist and you will learn tons...
Interesting stuff as ever. Having coilovers installed next week opted to try KW Variant 1's. read lot of good reviews on other vehicles. Mid priced. I'll post an opinion when I have one.
Good p car event in Granville, oh this weekend. North central ohio. Hosted by mid-ohio club. Last year 240 plus Porsches from five states all parked in the middle of a beautiful little college town. Come on over, see the pretty cars, walk around with a great ice cream cone. Meet new people and tell em lies. You know regular porsche gut stuff
