OK, maybe not to "full" classic, but an improvement?

Talk amongst yourselves.

I don't think it looks bad. Not a fan of the 991 but overall, I think it works. Never catch me in one though. Cool website BTW!

way cool i think.
plus the pano style roof avail on the 991 coupe
makes the recent glass targa styles redundant.

That back window looks awfully small ... now if was all glass then much better. A closer look at just behind the B pillar has me thinking that the back window is camouflaged (given that it seems to be peeling on the edge).

This car hasn't launched yet, so the pics you're looking at are obviously camo'd.

I've read a few months back that this Targa 991 will be a low production
special edition (sub 500 cars)..Kind of like the 50th Anniversary 991 available
right now, or the dark green Club Coupe with the duckbill from last year, etc.
Porsche needs to cash-in a little bit, they're not doing so hot right now!

Personally, not a fan of the roll-bar style Targa. Particularly the bubble
shaped rear window. It looks horrendous on the modern 991. The 993, 996
and 997 pano-roof sliding glass over the rear window was the perfect
solution; not sure why they're straying away. I guess to grab the attention of
the pre 993 Targa fans..

Since the Targa was introduced because Porsche was afraid the safety ***** would ban the cabrio, you have to wonder what market they're after with this car and how they'll make money by introducing it.

I like it but looks like blind spots galore.

I'm wondering if the rear window mask might be an attempt at redoing the soft rear window of the highly sought after zip out soft rear window Targas of the late 60's!

Cabs weren't made until 1982, so the targa design had nothing to do with this.

Is it me or does that thing look like a 90's Camaro from the rear quarter view?

The rear window mask is most likely camouflage. The pics that were on the net last year, showed a full window.
