Default opinions on 1 owner 95' Carrera im looking at..

So a local one owner 1995 Carrera became available to me today.
Blue on blue. 6 speed. Hi-fi sound. Immobilzer, basket handle, 16 inch wheels.
207000kms.
Still on original brakes and look decent!
His independant wrench told me about it. His indy did all the servicing and storing of vehicle once warranty expired as we have no porsche dealer in our region.
Says it is not "really" for sale but owner is interested in perhaps moving it as the indy has retired and closed shop thus no more storage or service.

Since they are rare in my parts of world im interested in it especially since i have seen it on the street every year since new. That is as far back as when I was never really into porsches. Crazy right?!
I am by no means in the market for another 993 and wouldnt go out of my way to find one as i have enough stuff laying as the hoarder i am,but since there are less then 6 of these cars in my province and that i have known of it for so long I feel like it would be a worthy little 911 to own and maintain...

It was used as a seasonal daily driver by a gentleman owner who was also a smoker. Used the car as everyday transportation. Mostly highway miles for business.
Floor mats are distroyed, all four wheels have curbing/scuffs, paint has typical "driver" scuffs, faded light lenes everywhere. The steering wheel, shifter and console have notable wear and tear. Seats are good but one is missing side plastic trim piece.
Every thing works as it should and drives really nice.

(Owner claims Clutch peddle sometimes gets stuck and wont come back up off the floor right away however??)

So what do you guys think it is worth? Most one would pay?
What would i need to look out for on high mileage? What would be potential problem or preventative to consider if i buy it?

Im a sucker for 993, especially one owner private sales.
I like to drive em' thus im not a trailer queen buyer by any means.

Canadian car in Canada.

A Canadian car IN Canada will fetch totally different money than the responses
you're about to get here. Just FYI...Best thing to do is see what's selling on
autotrader.ca and maybe even Canadian PCA... I'd say it's a late 20s kind of car.

Hope that helps..

I think what i know it is worth and what the seller might think it is worth are two different things...

What Province are you in? The Guards red one in my pic cost me $26,000 Canadian back in October, and it had all the items listed below. Mine has 146,000kms, and I'd say its in nice condition for the year. Based on that, I'd say lower 20's personally.

Don't see many here either, but I would say low to mid 20s max. As you can easily spend $10k to get it "sorted" (thinking clutch, suspension, bumper repaint, etc). But I'm a sucker for 1-owner cars too

LOL ^^ really??!

Cheapest 993 in Canada right now is a tippy cabriolet with 197kms (120K miles)
for $27k ... There are 26 cars available country wide. It's a completely different
market than in the USA.

I'm going to say low 20's too based on some of the condition items you mentioned, boman is spot on the Canadian market is totally different.

I will also say a smoker's car prob = an major interior makeover as it's must smell pretty bad, esp if your a non-smoker.

Considering it's a one owner car, canadian (NL 993 are more rare), and assuming you have all the maintenance papers, it increases the value.

Being a smoker car, it doesn't help unless you can get rid of the odor. To refresh the interior may not cost too much, but a paint and a clutch will. Also, you could change the wheels for 17-18'' with lowering springs to help the look.

I'd say 30k$.

If you buy it, let us know how much you paid.

I'd love me a super high-mileage '95 993. Ken, are you listening?

low twenties in the states on a good day.

Search for threads about the clutch pedal getting stuck. Not a horrible problem and lots of 993's do that. There seem to be alternate theories of how to repair, mostly bleeding or replacing some clutch lever parts. Or you just get good at poping the clutch up with your left toes.

You probably already have a good idea of maintenance costs from owing the C4S, if this car has not had brakes done since new it probably has a lot of other things besides cosmetics that need to be addressed. I'd suggest getting the indy to put together a bucket list of items to give you an idea of the time and $$ involved and then make an offer that is fair market minus cost of repairs.

I was paged?

I'll take another, actually. Well, even more truthfully, given the stupid prices of even 964 coupes I'd love to find a non-rapist body shop who can bend and stretch the ol' 42K clean title RSA back into a shell that can be made whole again.
