NEED VALUATION - 97 993 Grey on Boxster Red - Tip 95,000 Miles - Pictures Inside
A buddy of mine is testing the waters for his 993 and I told him I would post on the forum and let you guys give some comments.
The car is very clean paint is 9/10 interior 9/10 (some wear on bolsters but no tears)
Car just was serviced at Porsche and leak was fixed so car does not leak any fluids.
Tiptronic with 95,000 miles. Clean carfax with no accidents. 4 previous owners.
Any comments on pricing would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!

just my wild guess but pros: very rare color and turbo look (for those that like that). are those big reds or just painted red calipers? cons: tip is a price killer (respecting the earlier thread that it is a positive for many and a very reliable gearbox) and the mileage is moderately high.... so my 2 cents is $28K - $32 - the market really is limited to those who want a tip. if it was a 6 speed that color would sell fast! good luck to your friend....

^^^ So, this is a narrow body coupe that someone has put on aftermarket rocker panels that are actually 'molded' onto the front wings and rear quarters, RS splitters and Turbo Tail, in Bassalt Black or Metallic Black over Boxster red leather with a Tip with 95K miles on the clock ... is that correct?
IF it were all stock, without any body modifications I'd say it's worth $20K-22K because of the TIP and mileage .. that's assuming it's been properly maintained and needs nothing. However, the aftermarket modified rockers and fenders devalue this car substantially because they can't just be unbolted and removed .. the car will need bodywork and paintwork and the cost of that deducted from the above price. If it were a 6spd, it might be worth saving, but I don't see many people who would be willing to put money in a Tip coupe to restore it .. at least not today.

You cant just bolt on a "Turbo Look" kit on a 993. The rockers aren't correct. They are not like turbo rockers. Who knows what they are made from. I think the color is a plus but without going over the car it is hard to tell. From what I can see from the pictures etc. I'm going to say $22k tops and that is only if it really has big reds. I know it sounds low but my guess is it is a mess if you really look at it close.

Is Boxster Red really the interior color? I may be a 911 prude, but wouldn't want Boxster anything in my 911.
Without knowing much more about the rocker mod, I would say 30 tops.
Just saw above post - at $20k it is interesting.
