Default Dull spot in rock guards.

My rock guards are in really good shape but it looks like the PO must have tried to clean something off, and it left a dull spot. Is their anything that can be done to remedy this short of replacing the guards (which I heard is a PITA)?

Mine cleared up considerably with plastic polish - the same stuff you would use on a plastic convertible top 'window' or discolored plastic headlight lenses. I think heat would be your enemy when it comes to plastic polishing, I would keep the film cooler (toward the plastic end of the spectrum)- vs rubbery when its warm...

I got some Maguiers Plast-X. Think that would do it?

can you post a picture? Hope it's something simple; wax build up will look dull and is easy to remove.

Plast-X should do nicely. I think that's what I used.

+1 for the past-x.. I did both of mine and they look like new! Blend into the paint very nicely, they were all dull before. I used my porter orbital buffer and went over it 3 times.
