Default Trade my Fister 3 for your 2?

I just installed Fister IIIs on the c4s and it's a bit too loud for my advanced-aged ears and sedate neighborhood. So I'm looking for IIs. Mine are Bishoffs (although I understand retrofitting is easy) and my car is my DD so ideally I would get your IIs first, complete the swap and send the IIIs to you....

Let me know at joshuaweinstein@ymail.com (ymail, not gmail). Plese use email, not PMs, ok? Thanks.

I believe they are ceramic coated; I got them from a fellow R/Lister and they appear the same as the velvet black coated ones on the FD website.

I'm in San Francisco, not too far from you....

To those offering trades of non-Fister 2s, I appreciate your offer and in a few days if no Fister 2s show up I may change my mind, but for now I've got my sights set...

I would consider it but my wife already complains the car is too loud. I'm not sure she would be very happy if I made it louder. If you don't have a taker in a few days I might have to reconsider.

Dude! And you were my best case scenario. Actually, on the drive home today I thought "this isn't that bad, maybe I'll keep them." If you're up in the City in the next few weeks, stop by and we can compare....

If you get no II's, I have a set of RSR's in great shape.....I'd consider them in a different league than BB's or Fabspeeds, and would contribute a bit of cash.

The RSR's would be a great move from the III's.
Excellent air cooled sound beyond the OE motor
sound option. Not as loud or deep as the III's.

Matched with sport cats, they are music.

You might want to keep them on for a bit to see if they grow on you. Personally I wouldnt trade my III's for anything else. I think it makes the car sound like a mean SOB - love it!!

I got pulled over by the cops yesterday. He said I was doing 50 in a 35 as he saw my spoiler going up. However I suspected he didnt have a reading on me. He let me go but in parting said "you may want to consider a quieter muffler as I heard you coming from a mile away"

I laughed and told him that was half the fun and off I went.....

Let me know next time you're up here and we can do a little comparo. In the meantime, loud and proud. Unless, that is, there is someone else in San Francisco area with IIs that wants to let me have a little listen. Bueller? Bueller?

I just made the same change from III to II and I'm very happy with. Had a deal with FD if II are to loud to change it out with II.
