Default Help with IDLE 4K!

We did an engine drop over the weekend. Everything went well until the first turn over. We did installed a new wiring harness, Alt, Fan, SS Kit and Golden-Rod (For full discolosure).

Car goes straight to 4k as soon as it turns over.. We left it for about 3-4 seconds and then shut it down. We tried it twice... and then stopped.

Any ideas?

+1, same thing happened to me when I changed the clutch slave cylinder. Get under the car and check the throttle cable around the transmission area.

In my case I just had to wiggle it and it went back into position but if I'm not mistaken slightly forward of the transmission, it enters the car and in that opening, sometimes the rubber gets stuck.

I had a similar issue with the Cruise control linkage hanging up.

Lev, I agree that it is prob the throttle cable. Bitch to get at the connection w/ the engine back in place. You might be able to lower the engine slightly to get back there w/ a mirror to check throttle lever area.

Thanks to all..

It was the throttle cable. Got stuck on the right side of the slave cylender, and as it went in, puled the cable from the rubber grommet on the throttl body. Dropped the motor about 1" and got it free.

Had to remove the Air blower to get inside, and push it back in, very tight fi under the VR... wish I was born with long thin arms, maybe next time around...

Is there another grommet on the cable that fits inside the hole in the engine tray? Mine just has the mettle sleeve for the throttle cable and just sits in the hole.

Car is running AWSOME, other then that :-) :-) :-)
