Bent rim in San Diego
Hey all,
Been a while since I last posted. Job has kept me busy and car sitting.
Anyway thanks to those who helped figure out my electrical issue. Turned out to be that relay that's not actually a relay, the dash light rheostat relay and an associated over load... Lights are good to go now.
So, new thing. As the car sat for a while I started getting a flat on passenger front. At first it was a slow leak and would take about 2 weeks to go flat. Then as I was out of town it went flat and stayed that way for about 6 months. Leak takes about 12 hours now. Assuming the tire side walls were probably compromised from sitting for so long had a new set of fronts put on (Sumitomo HTR III). 2 days later it was flat again! The tire place said they had trouble balancing that wheel as the computer kept wanting more weights in different spots each time they would spin it. And even that seemed to come and go...? Anyway they suspect the wheel is bent, although not noticeably nor is there any noticeable damage. I can only assume that the tire keeps loosing pressure as a result of a slight bend... Funny my Audi with a bent rim didn't have that problem.
So, can anyone recommend someone in the San Diego area that can repair a 225/40R18 993 Chrome Turbo wheel?
Thanks,
Mike
