It's been hot lately in NorCal which makes mornings perfect Speedster weather .. so my grocery shopping trip turned into a 90 minute loop up through the Calistoga hills today (I need to think up more excuses for why it's taking so long .. heh ...). I heard my phone 'ding' so I pulled over to make sure I wasn't busted, and noticed the odometer had just turned to a significant number. That's what's on the chassis .. well sort of, still only 3500 miles on the ninemeister 9m93SpeedsterS conversion and engine refresh, but I intend to rectify that this summer!

Thanks. The gauge surround is actually a tribute to the painted dash 356 heritage .. IIRC, the 964's had color key'd leather on that surface. Anyway, no other new pic's to share right now, just wanted to mark the occasion, but it did remind me that come this 4th of July, it will be TWO YEARS since her container ship pulled back into Oakland returning from ninemeister !

BTW .. I'll be bringing SpeedArena to the judged field event at the all German, 4-Marque, Legends of the Autobahn Concourse this coming August 16th during Monterey Car Week, I missed it all last year so I'm really looking forward to it:

They've moved it to the Pasadera Country Club this year, very close to Laguna Seca/Mazda Raceway and PCA will be celebrating 50 years of the 911 this year, so it should be awesome.

Nice! Where are the Calistoga Hills? I am staying in St Helena this weekend. Over Christmas I rode a bicycle loop by Lake Hennessy, Pope Valley Road, Ink Grade, ... . Beautiful country for a ride or drive.

Well, you're In it! It's really called the Mayacamas Mountain range, that's the proper name .. calling the area between St. Helena and Alexander Valley the 'Calistoga Hills' is really a localism I learned growing up around here .. we used to go up there as teenagers and hang around an area that had thermal springs and natural steam caves ... lot's of 'neked hippies' to gawk at back then ...
