Thanks guys, this starting point is what I wanted to get at to figure what weight my car might end up at.

I probably should have really asked: What did your stock C2 weigh and what optional equipment did it have.

my almost completely stock cab showed a weight of 3065 with half tank of gas.
for some reason my owners manual doesn't show a curb weight for a cab.

the weight loss program for my 4s shows I've removed 236lbs, the last corner balance weight came in at 2981 with half tank and spare wheel/tools. that is pretty close to the owners manual curb weight of 3197 for an error on my part of 20lbs.
biggest weight loss items were changing seats saving 60lbs and removing awd saving 83lbs.

 

Went and looked at the last time my 4S was on the scales--3415 (notes look like it was 3/4 tank + 180 lbs. ballast). Only deviation from stock are the 996 Turbo hollow spokes, and remember mine has that Aerokit Turbo S wing hanging out back.

Now, as I ponder mating this car with the yellow car.............

Anyone got a bare shell weight? The yellow car IS coming apart, pretty much all the way. I'll report in with what I find if no one has bothered to find out.

removed both 8way power seats (63lbs ea.) replaced with Corbeau A4 (23lbs ea.) removed CD changer (4lbs) and I lost 20 lbs. dieting............................
