Default Alignment & Corner balance - Socal

Can you guys please provide recommendations for a quality but reasonably priced shop for performing alignment and corner balance on a 993 NB?

I know about West End Alignment, but Darin's son Chris does not know how to talk to previous and prospective customers, so I am looking for other venues.

Thanks in advance...

As Peter noted, Jae at Mirage. He is one of the best in the country, IMO, but expensive, and does it "old school" on our cars. You tell him your precise wants and needs, and he dials it in. I think my complete job was around $750, but he modded my rear drop links too, after I installed my ROW springs and new shocks.

Thanks for the recommendations fellas...I am in the Long Beach area, so it looks like Johnson's alignment service might work best for me, should the need arise. I remember hearing good things about Steve Alacon.

I like Darin and his personal involvement and knowledge around a P-car, but a 30% bump in price from the initial quote, is a bit hard to take.

My thoughts are if Darin's son Chris, is that out of touch with pricing, perhaps hes not the right front man for the business. Or, maybe the business has "matured" into more race setups for Civics and Subie's.

Ed, $750 is still less then what the dealer wanted to charge me up here. They wanted the car for the day and $1300 later. I nearly died laughing. lol

Wow, really sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I have been there four times in the last two years, sway bars, corner balance, alignment and Walrods bushings installed and had nothing but great experiences.

Chris was there every time, but I dealt with Darin. Was Darin not around?

$750-1300?! And I thought the $300 I paid for an alignment was a lot.

There are alignments which are cursory just getting things within the relatively wide factory spec range and there are those that spend more time getting the cross weights perfect, heights exact and specs the same (not simply in a range) for each wheel.

The first is fine for street, for any type of track use one wants more,

Wow! sorry to hear about that...I just spent about 7 hours with Darin and Chris today...both were very professional and courteous, and dialed in my car (installed 10's and turbo sways) exactly how I wanted it; and the car is transformed. I'm a first time customer and was extremely impressed. The price quoted 2 weeks ago was exactly what was on the invoice.

Just to reiterate: Mine was the full monty: align, CB and final ride height adjustment to my liking, in addition to the drop link mod.

That has been my experience as well.

FLYT993, how do you like the set up?

Thought about motor mounts? Either WEVO or RS?
I have a similar set up, with WEVO blacks, love the way thecar feels.
