Default Wheel / Tire fittment advice

Hello,

I have done all the preliminary searches and read every post from Bill Verburg, but, surprise, still need advice, namely what size tires should I buy to ensure a less problematic fit for the following rims on my C4S.

Front: 9.0 x 18 ET 45
Rear: 11.5 x 18 ET 35

Also for your consideration, I am installing PSS10, and will roll the fenders as needed.

Thank you

These tires will fit assuming RS height and rolled fenders

245/40 18
315/30 18

Depending on the tire you choose you may have liner rub

The front od an S is pretty much the same as a n/b. On low n/b I have used 9ET50 in front w/ 225/40 x18 tires, a wider tire would have hit the fender lip. ET45 stick out 5mm more than the wheels I used so I doubt that ey will work unless ride height is quite high.

in back a stock S used 10ET40, 11.5ET35 sticks out 24mm more and also intrudes 14mm further toward the chassis. Again I doubt that it will fit well.

^^^

Bill, will negative camber around -3 not change fender / rim clearance throughout the suspension travel?

Gentlemen,

Here are the very same rims on the PO's car. Seems like they fit. Am I missing something?

Given the info provided I told you how they fit relative to oe.

You will have to decide if you can live w/ them

The pic shows a car that is quite high and the wheels stick out quite a bit

Thanks Bill, upon closer inspection of picture you're quite right.
