Default Looking for quality steering wheel recovery.

I need someone to point me in the right direction.
I have a wheel and want to get it covered in alcantera or suede.
I want to get it done by someone who is fairly priced and most importantly does quality work and I wont get a wheel back full of wrinkles.

Please point me in the right direction.

There is one shop in Dallas that is terrific, and an equally great shop in, believe it or not, Poland. Search here and you can find them.

However, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, use Allan Gunn/AGLA to recover your steering wheel. You can also search here for horror stories about this awful man and his shoddy work.

Thank you for the heads up.
Any idea of what I am going to have to spend?

This is a birthday gift and I am trying to see what I am going to end up spending.
Its a 3 spoke wheel, and I am going alcantera, with red stitch

Send it to Poland. Search here for "carsdream" and you'll see results and approximate pricing/timing.

Let me know if you need specifics.

I'm sure they'll recover an non-airbag pad without a problem.

Pretty good guys. I coordinated the last group buy with them and have their perforated leather 996 wheel in my 993 - simply love it. It's held up well too. I know they do alcantara as well, I was considering it. A bit more expensive, but not by much, I think $20-40 extra.

Does it usually take a while to get it done?
Is it easy to communicate with them? No language barriers?

I had the horn pad of my 3-spoke wheel done in full leather by the shop in Dallas. It's passable, but a long way from factory. Maybe mine was done on an off day.

About 10 days to get to Poland, about a week to get done, about 10 days to get back. Budget 4-5 weeks total and you'll be safe. They sent me pics of the wheel before shipping it back (actually, I think they put it on their gallery).

No language barrier, they communicate OK in English. Is your Polish that bad?

Mike S: Have you previously posted pix of your SW? If not, could you do so? If so, what's the link?

Thx
