I just purchased a few cans of the clear for this exact purpose. I did a test on my recently removed basket handle to see how well it works and looks. Here are a couple of photos. The clear is not clear- as you can see but I'd be ok with it for a tour, DE or track day. However after doing my test, I'm re-thinking this approach. I'm afraid of getting it in the grill and other small crevices and not being able to remove it. I guess if you took your time and taped everything off well it would be ok. You also have to remove the tape before it hardens so you have an edge to peel it off.
I'm going to check out the carpet protection.
Also thinking of just getting a leather or vinyl old school bra. I know everyone talks about rubbing- so any suggestions on that front?
Cheers
