[QUOTE=RichPugh;12042180]Step 1, obtain 60-65et 11" wheels.
Step 2, put narrow treadwidth 285/30 or 275/35 tires on them.
Step 3, dial camber in rear to at least neg 2.5 degrees.
Step 3.5, If required, roll fender lip upwards into fender with heatgun and that fender roller with the ECS adapter mentioned below.
Step 4, enjoy 11" wheels on NB 993.

Hi RichPugh,
thanks for the infos. Yes, that's what I'm looking for, but

Step 1: sure, but what about with ET56? It's too broad? bigrig use them with offset 53!
Step 2: Yes, I would put in 275/35 rear but 235/40 (instead of 225/40 as bigrig use) front. As far as I know the official change size of 275/35 is 235/40. Is that true? Or the side-wall tilt of 225/40 on 9 inch is the same as 275/35 has on 11"?
Step 3-4: it's OK

[QUOTE=bigrig;12041682]i checked my PM's but i did not see a message from you?
how can i help?

Hi bigrig,
RichPugh is already get some infos what I'm looking for, but is there any changes or modifications (except roll feder lips) on your car that you could reach this fitment whit 11" and ET53?
I just wanna do something similar with my 95' C2 but with BBS LMs. I already lowered my 993 with Eibach Pro-Kit springs and it's moved down 40-45 mm compare to the original US setup.
Thnx.

if you roll your fender lips and use 275/35/18 in a narrow section width tire(falken or hankook for example) and have some negative camber (-2.5 to-3)
your et 56 will fit.

"sidewall tilt" will change depending on tire manufacturer, originally i had 235/40 18 in front and it did not match the "sidewall tilt" on the rear-it had a more squared shoulder on the front tire.
that is why i am using 225/40 18 on the front now.

i hope this helps!

Sorry for my bad english, but unfortunately I don't know the exact technical term of "sidewall tilt" German would much better. Indeed could you whisper to me?
Anyway I do my best with regard to this upgrade and I will post some pics if it's done.
Thnx

The PO is referring to the angle of the sidewall relative to the edge of the wheel. Most people are familiar with "sidewall tilt" in the sense of "stretch."

In the image below, an FK452 is stretched onto a wider wheel than recommended by the manufacturer and the sidewall "tilts" inward, away from the edge of the wheel:

This is also an FK452 on a "manufacturer recommended" size. Note that the sidewall is flush with the wheel's edge:

That being said, some tires are designed with a more rounded or square shoulder leading into the sidewall.

For example, AD08's are known to be pretty "square" and sit more flush (vertically) with the wheel's lip. Like this:

Conti's have a more rounded off shoulder leading into the sidewall and appear stretched, even when on a manufacturer recommended size (not overly wide). As shown here:

Hope this helps, meine Duetsch is no bueno.
