Default Grease in Wheel Center Caps?

I was just putting my track wheels on and noticed a large amount of grease packed behind the rear center caps.

Recently replaced the axles could over grease packed axles overflow adn get hung up there?

A couple of clues. Your are tracking the car so the grease gets very hot in the CV joints. You just replaced both axles did you use stock grease to pack them? Are these brand new or a low mileage set you purchased? Either the grease was over packed and you are getting the excess out the vent when the grease gets hot. The possibility is the grease operating temp is not sufficient for track use and you will need to repack them with Neo or Krytox.

Low car+track use+hot day = liquefied cv grease, repack w/ Neo or Krytox

Wow, what a mess. I'm going to buy some Neo, thank you for the advice!
