Default Code P0506

Well I took the car out for drive to set the flags. 7 out of 8 set just fine, but the dreaded CEL came on. Plugged in the reader and got a code P0506: idle air control system revolutions per minute lower than expected.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
Emerald

try getting some maf cleaner...on the throttle body. reset you edu.

this is going to sound really lame..but take out the battery..both leads..+ and - .....attach them together..for about 20 min..it works..this will drain the capacitors..and will give you a good reset..

Posibbly an ICV that is on its last legs? You could pull the valve and try to clean it up with a carb cleaning spray solvent; its been recommended many times before.

Thanks guys. Are we talking about the valve sitting on top of the V-ram? I cleaned it during the rebuild, but maybe it is on it's way out.

Thanks,
Emerald
