When was the last time you got an alignment?

How old are your shocks and bushings?

Toe, caster or tire pressure.

The baskethandle says '95, are you still on original shocks. My '95 wandered all over the lane at freeway speeds until I replaced suspension with PSS10. What a transformation!

I'd start with tires and then look at the usual suspects in the suspension. Overinflated tires can cause a car to feel light and "skittish" at speed. Underinflated tires can cause the car to "wallow." If you've got more than 60K on your shocks, they're probably shot. Bad control arms bushings will also exhibit a "wobble" in the steering wheel when moving through the 45-55 MPH range, either accelerating or decelerating.

Good luck....

So is mine and it is rock solid at speed with everything still all original. It'll depend on mileage as well.

Thanks everyone. Car has 68,000 miles on it and all original. Alignment not that long ago and tyre pressures all ok, so it looks like I'm off for some new shocks....what a pity huh

I have seen a few threads here on this subject, but without wanting to go with an over the top setup what are a couple of the best options. It is not a daily drive, is a convertible (if that makes a difference), no track work....

Thanks to everyone again...Adam

Front bushes were stuffed and wheel balance needed. All getting replaced today along with a full wheel alignment. Picking her up tomorrow and hopefully feeling like a new car.

BTW, the wheel alignment apparently will take about four hours to do completely! Didn't realise something like that would be such a long job....anyone know why? I will ask tomorrow when I pick thecar up.

A few years ago I did both the PSS-10s and added an RS splitter and side skirts. Before the upgrades the car felt very light at high speeds (100mph+). Since then it has felt rock solid at any speed. I highly recommend the PSS-10s.
