1998 Porsche C2S Low Miles
Hi Guys.
I resently started looking at prices for 97-98 low miles C2S cars and they seem to in the neighbourhood of 70-80k for great examples. Are these true numbers that sellers are pulling or are they dreaming?
I have a 1998 C2S Black on Black, 6 speed manual, 17" rims, motor sound, Factory suspension car is 100% stock with 23,000 original miles.
Can anyone give me some real world numbers that I should expect my car to sell for.
Thanks!

Cause it is a new user with 3 posts who ask a pricing question with no pics, no option list, no statement of what the condition of the car is and no history (number of owners/documentation/maintenance).

If I was looking to sell to highest bidder I would have my car PIC's up and all the details. I'm just looking for some input as to the range of money a 1998 C2S with 23k miles in obviously near mint shape would sell for.

$55K - $60K with low options and 17 inch wheels. I'll give you $60K CDN for it

$60K for a car with under 30K miles ... The price drop from 30K -50K miles is $10K. Always depends on colors, options and I'm assuming these cars need absolutely nothing for 10K miles at least.
The dealer prices .... basically paying themselves $15-20K commission, but that's asking prices, not selling prices.

I sold a 1997 C2S, Area Red on black with 30,000 miles in 2009 for $60,000 Canadian. These things hold there value. Back then they were going for $50,000 U.S. Try and find a low mileage C2S in Canada now! good luck. My mechanic tells me that 991 and 997 owners tired of driving easy-to-drive cars are coming back looking for a 993.

I sold the silver '97 C2S in my avatar in 2011 for $52,500 after advertising it for 6 months. Lots of lookers in Canada but few with the cash and willing to part with it....I'd like to buy it back for that much today I started out at $65K based on what everyone was telling me it should sell for in Canada.

Yeah no doubt. The prices seem all over the map, and I see some crazy stuff going on Ebay, but I'm skeptical on how many of those deals actually complete. I bet alot of "buyers" on ebay flake out.

there is probably no better place on earth to put real world value numbers to these cars...then right here on this forum. That being said, there have been too many to remember threads just like your's...asking "what's my car worth". For the most part, paying members make this site poissible, and "we" are a loyal bunch.
My suggestions;
-pony up the $17 to renew your membership. There probably isn't a better return on Porsche investment than this site/forum.
-with your membership renewed...you can post pics of your car
-provide complete details, ownership history, # of owners, service record's, accident/paint history if any, and list all options...hell, take a pic of the option sticker under the hood.
Take all that info, then enter it up into a detailed "what's it worth" thread.
At any given time, there are dozens of folks looking for these cars, as well as most dealers scanning here too. I imagine you got more than a few pm's with offers already. You can price the car to sit, or price the car to sell. Maybe where it goes is as important to you, as what you get for it money wise. Only you can answer those questions.
Low mileage WB's are highly sought after, and can bring stupid money for the right color/optioned car.
anyway...best of luck to you
