Duplicates going nowhere...got em too cheap at Hershey, and eventually I'll be taking a couple apart to experiment with wheels and interiors.
Wish I would have bought that damn purple C2S! Ten spots were flyin

really should have bought EVERY UT 993, 996 on the tables that morning.

Anyway, just bought another silver GT2 for $50 Buy it Now on Fleabay. I've watched too many fly past $100 to not have a spare.

Someone here should do a step by step DIY disassembly sequence for the UT 993. I have one here that I have taken the four screws out of but don't want to pull too hard risking breaking something. Who makes after market parts for these things?

think we can get Darin to make scale appropriate Stage lll's? I mean, no real sound, but i my mind it'll be glorious.

Group buy anyone?

I'm in for 3 n/a sets, 4 for the TT's , and 2 for the GT2's

Magdaddy, You take the sound chip from one of those annoying "record a message" greeting cards. Record the StageIIIs with it and stuff the chip into the trunk or tape to the bottom of the model!

You guys are crazy!

I can make a disassembly thread if you want.

Get several small speakers and place them strategically throughout the car for surround sound. Make a custom hinged gas pedal that activates the "engine". Not much room for batteries in these things though. You could put it in the trunk and put a faux carpet over it.

Mag - you'll need to do some masking in order to paint the seats!

Take care,

I'm sure your watching fleabay...a white GT1 with some damage just sold for $13 + shipping. I thought about bidding, but didn't think many parts would transfer over to a 993 WB, besides the wheels maybe. Wonder if the interior pieces would fit?

So far I've missed out on a beat up yellow GT2-negotiated a price from the seller post auction, she did a but it now...but somebody else bought it under me. Missed a very nice AR/cashmere 2S, sold for very little money...and hadn't seen that combo before. Also, more than one RS has sold for cheap too.

Anyway, looking for pieces just like you. Good luck
