Default Tacho Rings. Where to find this model?

Hi,

after reviewing the most well known sites, including ebay, I've never been able to find this thin chromed tacho rings (not the white dial). Does anybody know where these can be found? Perhaps was a tequipment element?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I believe these are stock and fit inside the glass. I do not know of anyone that makes them aftermarket.

I bought a full set of 5 trim rings which fit inside of the dials from Chris Walrod who manufactures them to order for around 70 dollars plus postage charges. Do a search for the " Instrument trim rings " thread which will be on the 993 forum. They are the best ones I have seen and will fit 993 and 964 cars dials. The other ones I have seen are on the Carnewal.com website which again look to be good value and are available in Europe. Good luck. Brian.

Techart made the OEM gauge faces, they where pricey and hard to find. If your set on the internal rings I would find an OEM set on EBay.

None of them light up as well as the black faces at night. I'll never go silver faces again.
Though the OEM are leaps and bounds better then the NR brand at night.

I'll second the suggestion on the Chris Walrod rings. They are stainless steel and fit inside the bezel. Look great.

Are you really sure that we are talking about the same thing here.

The tequipment rings shown in the photo in the first post fit inside the glass. I have only seen Walrod rings that fit on top of the rings that are outside the glass. If you have a picture of this would be great. I would also be interested in the rings in the photo above .

Chris' rings fit outside the glass but sit inside the black trim rings. They are nicely machined from aluminum stock.

V, I think you are right, the rings on my pic are fitted behind the glass, while Walrod's seem to be fitted right outside, between the glass and the actual edge of the gauge. Not quite the same, but I must admit it is the closest option to the one on the pic, definetetly much nicer than the others available in the market that fully cover the gauges IMHO.
I´ve actually messaged Walrod to make him an order....
