Another dumb question, are you connecting the Negative Lead to the Negative Battery terminal or the Chassis?

bought the extension cord acc. for my "tender", simply use the cigar lighter socket. Three years(almost) use so far, no issues. I run the cord thru either the pass or driver door depending on what garage the car is in. Driver door when in the main garage, for maintaining between use...pass door when in the back shed over winter.

Life's complicated enough, I like to keep things as simple as I am...unless there's a need to reinvent the wheel.

Neg to neg and pos to pos on the battery. No chassis
