Without question, the x pipes will be much, much louder than sport cats.
They are louder than stock cats. Personally would not say much, much louder. I guess it's all a matter of personal taste. To me, I could mainly tell a difference at idle and WOT.
I have this and the x pipe bypass is not that much louder than the stock. There is some more pop on decel heard. The maker said it was about the same as the sport cats. I havent heard a good comparison to check. Mine was well made and really light compared to stock. Felt like a big difference. I also have the motorsound package and chip.
I'm probably not in the majority here, but I really wish that all of us lucky/privileged folks that get to drive these wonderful cars would consider the problems involved with running without cats. We've done a wonderful job cleaning up our air with the invention of cats. I think that we can enjoy our little gas guzzlers just as much (or very nearly) with high flow cats.
Cleaner is better.
The set up sure is pretty though, I can appreciate the desire.
Just my lousy 2 cents worth. I know my money is probably no good here : )
Thanks for your opinion but I don't see how it is going to help sell my pipes.

Idle seemed to be fine, but WOT was another story. FYI, I am basing my experiences off of Supercups with a DACH cat bypass versus Supercups with a DACH sport cat. I thought the cat muffled the sound by a really decent amount, but "decent amount" is highly subjective.
