Guys,
Thought I'd start a new thread since the topic has changed a bit. For those of you who were following or topic, the original link was here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...go-county.html
Any ways, just like the San Diego guys, we're having a group get together at my home in a couple of weeks (looks like Feb 16 at this point) to do Garth S. great modification to our tie rods to reduce the slop that comes with a rubber inner tie-rod coupler. Supposed to make the steering more responsive (like the RS) without the cost.
So far the list of those coming are:
1.mgianzero - that's me of course.
2.f8vr993
3.Kika
4.C4SJOHN
5.Schubee
6. G.Syn (a good friend but hopefully a new RL member soon!)
I'm planning on doing a trial run with my car when I get the tool from chaoscreature so that I know we have everything we need. I'll supply everything we need (jig, drill, bits, pins). We'll coordinate the beer and pizza the day of. I have a favorite pizza place that delivers but is NOT a chain. They make everything fresh!
So as to make things easier (and more fun) I was suggesting we all meet at C&C in Irvine that morning and ride over from there.
For any RL members who do NOT want to pin their tie-rods but want to join in the fun, you're more than welcome. Let us know if you're coming so we have an idea of the size of the group.
See you soon -
Marc G.

No problem. You can always drop by for a visit on that day. Enjoy some pizza and car talk.
By the way, what are you doing to your engine? I'm planning on doing a RS clutch and flywheel and possibly a minor sprucing up of the engine at the same time.

Great. Looks like things are coming together.
For those who are "pinning their rods" (that sounds really weird!), we've got:
1.mgianzero - that's me of course.
2.f8vr993
3.Kika
4.C4SJOHN
5.Schubee
6. G.Syn (a good friend but hopefully a new RL member soon!)
7. civerson4 (Chad)
For those who might pop by for a visit and eat our pizza and drink our beer:
1. TheBen
Feel free to add yourself to one of the lists. If I need to, I'll borrow the neighbors driveways to park more cars. Guess we'll also need to get a snapshot of all these 993's at my home. Should be impressive!
One question for chaoscreature ... do you think your jig will hold up for all these cars or should we look for a second?
