Default Quick Wheel Fitment Question

I have a C2 Narrow Body 993 in which I am looking for a set of BBS LM's to put on. A member offered me his set at what I thought was a fair price, just doubting the fitment. I have no interest in rolling the fenders or such and am pretty sure I know the answer but just wanted to verify. His sizes:

Front - 18x8.5" ET56
Rear - 18x11" ET56

From my understanding stock / OEM fitment is:

Front 18 x 8" ET52
Rear 18 x 10" ET65

Would they fit?

Also....Any feedback on Wheel Enhancement?

Check out Tirerack's website (www.tirerack.com).

The front wheels won't be a problem. The rears, I'm not sure as there is no 11" rear wheels listed. This is the closest one:

I doubt it. On the coolest wheels thread, 8.5 and 11 wide 966 GT3 wheels fit on a WIDE body 993 coupe, but have not seen anyone do an 11-inch rear width on a NB 993. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I kind of winced posting up a question like this but just wanted to make sure.

SleepRM3, are those LM's on your car? I have a Polar Silver C2 and can't decide whether to make the jump, I like my TT wheels but always loved the look of LM's. Just not sure if they look THAT much better.

Great looking car, I must say I have Fikse FM-10 classics, in 8 x 18, 51-mm offset with 225/40-18 fronts and 10 x 18, 57-mm offset with 285/30-18 rears. Tires are Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetric N4 "Reds". The 285s rub the fender wells slightly when the PSS9s compress under load, so I'll need to down-size the rears to 265/35-18 on my next set of rubbers. Good luck wheel shopping!

Coreseller,

11 X 18 ET56 rear definitely will not fit NB. They are more for WB cars.

My LM set has odd size 8 X 18 ET52 front & 9.5 X 18 ET56 rear. They fit wheel walls perfect. I'm running 225/40 & 265/35. No rubbing problem even lowered.

I don't think BBS make them in that combo anymore. I think 9.5 ET56 is very close to 10 ET65 LM if you can find them.

See pictures....

Wow Saxony, is that beautiful!!! 18 x 10 ET65 is what they are currently offering and most have up for rear fitment at this time. I was just getting close to selling myself on the fact that the Turbo Twists look just as good then you post these pics......damn lol. Thanks

That is correct. Current BBS LM offer is 10 ET65 rear for NB 993.

My friend has the 8 & 10 LM using same size tires. They look identical as my 9.5 rear. I wonder when did they stop making the 9.5 ET56.

I bought my set second hand and seller had no idea since he wasn't the original owner. Was pretty lucky, got them at bargain price.

Your Turbo Twists looks great as well. That was my second choice. Right now I'm tempted to take closer look at the new Fuchs 18s !!

The 9.5 ET 56 wheel's outer edge sits 2.65mm closer to the finder lip the inner edge sits 15.35mm further from the inner wall restrictions compared to a 10ET65.

a 10 ET65 is the factory fitment and leaves very little room inboard and only slightly more outboard(how much depends a lot on ride height)

10ET56 barely fits w/ a fender tweek at RoW M030 height

Thanks Bill. I thought Saxony's wheels looked further out than my stock 10" ET65 Turbo Twists, and in a good way. My car is already at ROW MO33 ride height and I have zero interest in rolling or tweeking fenders so would stick with stock size / offsets......

My rear 57-mm offset Fikse FM-10, 10 x 18 with 285/30-18s rub at full PSS9 compression lowered to Euro ride height settings. I'm hoping 265/35-18s are better the next time around.

Thanks Bill for precise ET info.

Coreseller...my ride is not really that low. I have H & R sports springs that dropped the ride height by about 1.3 inches. 265/35 rear has lots of clearance left. Fenders were not rolled. Absolutely no rubbing nomatter how I try. Here are some pictures of ride height....
