Motorcycles are dangerous, death machines for sure. On that note, my 1998 Aprilia RS250 (2-stroke track bike) and my 2002 Aprilia Mille R (V-twin 1000). Beautiful RC30, by the way.

Nice Apes. I miss my 04 factory and saw a fair amount of Aprilias 125 & 250s when I was club racing my honda RS 125 in the late 90s.

I looking forward to seeing what KTM will put in production as the successor to my Duke R.

I am a long time Aprilia fan, been to the factory in Noale a couple times. They are the 'David' to the Goliath of Ducati, so I love to cheer for the underdog. They really can't catch a break though, the RSV4 has won a couple World Superbike titles the last few years, whipping the Ducs, but the dealers can't even sell them. Don't get me wrong, I love Ducati, but the RSV4 is amazing. Oh well, they have never been managed well, to say the least!!

RC30 is sale pending!! (although candidly I'm not sure how happy I am about it).

Amazing amount of interest here. Bike sold in 12 hours. I got a call from a gentleman in AZ who put a deposit down sight unseen at a price that eclipsed my reserve price. There were several other interested parties as well. Now I'm regretting the decision a bit, but it was too nice of a bike to ride anyway.

Market for these RC's that are in pristine condition continues to heat up. I bet in 10 years this will be worth double what I sold it for.

Oh well. On to the next one!!!

The RSV4 and the 250 track bike are both wonderful machines indeed, but I would hardly call Ducati a "Golaith". Honda, yes, for sure. Ducati has had and is still having its very own management woes.
Here's a photo of my 996 (in 748 clothing) before I sold it.

P.S. I needed a drool plate with those first photos of that wonderful hand built RC30. Freddie Spencers tool of choice and launch vehicle.

Marchenisi magnesium wheels, Ohlins F&R suspension, slipper clutch, Brembo 4 pads, Brake-Tech rotors, slipper clutch, Bitubo CF steering damper, Arrow full 50mm cf race pipe with CF cans, Ti cush bushings, Ti fasteners on brake rotors. <sniff> I miss my bike...

i just finished a little stripper BMW 800R.... fun city bike. Going to pass it down to the missus once i had my fill of it.

Carbon front fender
Akra exhaust
Tapered bars with GS brake and clutch cables.
removed all signals and mirrors
removed mini wind screen
removed chain guard
removed rear plate holder

Gona up the rear sprocket to make it more of a wheelie machine...

The David and Goliath reference was in terms of Italian marques, certainly not in relation to the Japanese. One more of the RSV4 while I am here.

Same for the pristine/mint Suzuki RG 500 Gamma I sold stateside. I sold it for almost what I paid for it new, but try to get one these days for that amount.

I just visited a friend who is selling a mint Bimota YB8 that he bought new back in the late 80s.
