Default wheels

Can anyone tell me who makes the 18' cup wheels I have seen on a few cars or the 18' (997 style) claw wheel I have also seen...
Or is anyone can point me to a nice set of 993 NB twist wheels...

Thanks,
Chad

You mean the elusive 18" cup 2 wheels? I understand it was a 928 wheel but have never actually seen a set. Would love a set though.

Here is a good place to start and the thread is a sticky at the top of the 993 section. Many posts list the make/model of wheel. Get a coffee and enjoy:

There are many websites you can google that do replica wheels, or go to the stealerships for current originals. Tire Rack, GMP Performance, Wheel Enhancement - lots to choose from.

BTW, if you are talking about 18" versions of the 993 17" cup wheel, they were not Porsche OEM but replicas from Italy I think and a few people (me included) keep a beady eye open for them, I'd love a set.

Guys who have had experiences with the rare Cup 2 18" wheels (as mentioned by John above, are replicas and were never OE) will tell you they are quite brittle, and once one of them inevitably cracks, you will have an incomplete set of wheels and the near impossible task of finding a replacement.

They do look fantastic, though.

I'm not sure what wheels you are looking for but here are all the factory offerings

The only ones not on the above that i know of are the RS, Cup, GT2, RSR wheels.

These are RS wheels

Bill has illustrations for just about any 993 discussion. Just amazing!

So the 18" Cup 2s were never OEM. Too bad.

That is a lot of OEM wheel offerings!

Were all of the above options available for the 993, or did some come later for the 996 and just happened to fit the 993 as well?

The wheels starting with 996 PNs were not released until 98-onward.

The end of the 993 run and the start of the 996 run overlapped in '98
