Talking Current cost of S conversion on NB coupe? Less than S?

Random thought and I probably would bother now but one day.

Any one done one recently? If you already have a turbo front bumper how much to swap the quarters and the rear bumper?

Im just wondering because it should be less than buying a C2S soon!

Just rough pricing it appeared to be under $8k for the rear end assuming parts are available.

Will this become the new 1973 "RS" conversion if the C2S keeps going up?

An S will always be worth more than a converted NB.

I would expect it to cost around $20k to $25k all in. I had a friend just do a WB conversion on a Cab and was north of this.

Cheaper to buy a C2S.

Agreed. Converting an NB to a WB will hurt your resale value if you should need to sell it.

Sell the NB, buy a WB. Less out of pocket and you'll be happier.

I thought the RS was based off a C2... not the S.. so if you are building an RS you have the right car and just need to spend lots of $ to 3.8 the engine and put it on a diet.

IMHO the C2 has nice hips!

Yes and I was just saying if they keep going up might it be cheaper to make your own one day. Folks are doing it now with the speedster versions being built. much cheaper to build your own.

Your converted "franken-porsche" may be worth less at time of resale than an all original well cared for NB. When you are ready to make this leap, sell it and buy a WB.

I do not think " speedster " and " cheaper " are two words use together well in a 9M conversion .
