Always love the black and that baby is shining! Congrats and thanks for the updates.
How do you like the Boston's? That's next on my shortlist as the PO put a very nice JVC head in it but the stock speakers are lacking. I've read from a few here that the 993s are acoustically challenged (Targas worse probably due to all that glass) but I think new speakers would improve things and I'm an old Boston fan.

Brian... I might have a similar head unit - JVC KD-X80BT which i am still playing with, getting to know all of ins and outs.
I used to have a set of desktop BA speakers that were phenomenal so I used that as my gauge... I bought the front's on clearance (SC-55's - $89) and the backs (746 - $130). FYI, both are no longer manufactured. Due to laziness, I opted to keep the stock sizes. Compared to the originals, they sound fantastic... granted all of the original speakers were dead lol. Install was a breeze. Compared to my Acura TL, it sounds like crap when on the road... might have a lot to do the acoustics or the lack of insulation/sound deadning. I need to fix my passenger door window switch so might use the opportunity to add some insulation.

Thanks much Sagres -- for the PM you sent also, which I responded to before I read your response here.
This sounds like a really good quick fix for me as there's no decent car audio installer within 100 miles of here. And I suspect mine are stock and literally falling apart. They sound like dookie.
